This was the year we passed 250 members and became officially recognised by the University of Bologna. Here is what we got up to, month by month.
- October. Fly With Us: ultralight flights for members.
- November. A course in computational fluid dynamics, and a talk in Bologna by Yves Gaspar on relativity, black holes and cosmology. Five members also formed Aether to enter the PACE Future Innovators Awards, a competition on HMI design for large-screen cockpits.
- December. The Lamborghini factory and museum, and a tour of Bologna Marconi Airport that included the airport police and the fire service's helicopter hangar.
- February. NPC Spacemind, to see their work on satellites.
- March. The Medicina radio telescopes.
- April. Aether made the final two and was invited to PACE Days.
- May. On 13–14 May Aether presented in Berlin to representatives of Airbus, Lufthansa, Leonardo and PACE TXT, and won the competition overall. Most of the team had never entered a competition like it, or used the VAPS software, before. The same month we visited Pagani.
- August. We hosted the final of the Airbus Sloshing Rocket Workshop in Forlì, with a career fair on 29 August.
